Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday took dig at former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry over Indus River history.
Taking to X (formerly), the former foreign minister had lashed out at Chaudhry over the latter's tweet. " You idiot. Sindhu River is the Indus River. The Indus Valley civilization belongs to all of Pakistan," Bhutto-Zardari said.
“The word “Indus” is the Latinized version of Sindhu, brought into English via the Greek name “Indos” (Ἰνδός), which in turn was derived from the Persian pronunciation of Sindhu,” he said.
It is pertinent to note that Chaudhry penned a tweet about Indus River, in which he indirectly targeted Bhutto-Zardari.
"This is an attack on Pakistan, not on Sindh unless you have also joined the Sindhu Daish under GM Syed family. Benazir Bhutto would never have made such a statement," Chaudhry said.
