The United States has declined to respond to a question regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, while also rejecting reports of a potential entry ban on certain countries.
During a press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked about Imran Khan’s situation but refused to offer any remarks.
“We do not comment on the internal matters of other countries. If you want further details, you may ask the White House,” Bruce stated.
Her remarks come amid growing speculation over Washington’s stance on the political developments in Pakistan, particularly regarding Imran Khan’s ongoing legal battles.
Meanwhile, Bruce also dismissed reports suggesting that the US was preparing a list of countries facing potential travel restrictions.
"The list that has been awaited for several days does not exist," she clarified, adding that the US government is conducting a visa policy review under the directives of President Trump.
“A security review is underway to assess visa policies and determine entry eligibility. Once the review is complete, we will be able to comment further,” she said.
