Life in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi has returned to normal following the conclusion of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) public meeting of Sunday.
The cities, which had seen a temporary disruption due to the political gathering, have resumed regular activities as business life picks up once again.
All educational institutions, along with government and private offices, have reopened their doors, signaling a return to routine for residents and workers in the twin cities.
To ensure security during the PTI rally held yesterday, the administration had placed containers on various major highways. However, with the event now concluded, these containers have been removed, allowing traffic to flow smoothly once more.

On Sunday, PTI workers and Islamabad police had locked horns after the party allegedly violated the NOC issued for holding its public meeting in Sangjani. According to details, the PTI workers had pelted the police with stones. The deputy commissioner had made it clear that if the stone pelting continued, there will be many arrests.
"Now the public gathering has become illegal, therefore cases will be registered if the instructions of ending the rally will not be followed," the DC added.
The district magistrate had issued notice to PTI Islamabad chapter Amir Mughal, highlighting the violations of code of conduct in line with holding the power show. The PTI had been strictly directed to ensure the implementation of the SOPs in the NOC.

The PTI was allowed to hold its rally from 4pm to 7pm. The DC had made it clear that the legal action would be taken against the PTI if the instructions were not followed.
The Metro bus service between Islamabad and Rawalpindi was also suspended, according to the district administration, due to the PTI jalsa at Sangjani. PTI workers from all over the country headed towards Islamabad to attend the event.
PTI workers removed one of the zig-zag containers placed by the administration on Margalla Avenue to block access. The workers were led by MNA Zartaj Gul, with a video of the incident surfacing on social media.
Four containers had been strategically placed at intervals along Margalla Avenue to prevent movement. However, PTI workers manoeuvered through the blockade, pushing one of the containers aside to create a passage.
