The District and Sessions Courts of Islamabad have acquitted several senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including its founder Imran Khan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, Ali Mohammad Khan, and Murad Saeed, in cases related to the violation of Section 144 and vandalism.
Judicial Magistrate Ehtesham Alam delivered the verdict, clearing the accused of all charges. The cases were registered at the Golra police station and involved allegations of violating Section 144 and engaging in acts of vandalism.
PTI leader Ali Mohammad Khan was present in court along with lawyers Naeem Haider Panjotha, Sardar Masroof Advocate, and Amina Ali Advocate. Asad Umar also appeared before the court.

The acquittal comes as a significant relief to the PTI leadership amidst ongoing political tensions. The charges had brought considerable attention and scrutiny, but the court found the evidence insufficient to convict the accused.

On May 30, the Islamabad District and Sessions Court had acquitted Imran Khan of the charges in two cases registered at the Shahzad Town police station over the May 9 violent incidents. The verdict was delivered by Judicial Magistrate Umar Shabbir, who ruled in favour of acquittal due to insufficient evidence.
The prosecution failed to present substantial evidence, leading to the court's decision to acquit.
