The first information report (FIR) was lodged on Saturday against MNA Jamshed Dasti and 20 others for allegedly harassing the price control magistrate.
According to the police, the fines were imposed for selling expensive vegetables in Muradabad. Dasti reached out on the occasion along with confidants and tore the fine receipt.
Dasti had incited the people to stage the Azad Kashmir-like protest.
The police said: "The investigation into the matter is under way, and action will be initiated."
Moreover, the FIR was registered on the complaint of price control magistrate Sanaullah Riaz.
