An Islamabad court on Saturday extended Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati's interim bail till April 23 in the controversial tweets case.
According to details, duty judge Rakhshanda Shaheen heard the case. Former senator Swati appeared before the court accompanied by his lawyers.
Speaking to media, Swati said: "It would not be a good omen for the country if the masses' votes were snatched."
"Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa should form a commission in line with the rigging of votes," Swati said.
He maintained: "The action should be taken against the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) or whoever has violated the law."
"I wish that the power circles should do something for the supremacy of the law and constitution. They should think about who is taking up the matters of the country."
He took a jibe at President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying, "What will Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif think about the betterment of the country?"
Speaking about the PTI founder, Swati said: "The detention faced by the PTI founder is unconstitutional and illegal."
Swati hoped that all the "bogus cases" against the party leadership will be ended.
