Nicky Newman, an amazing cancer campaigner and Instagram sensation, sadly passed away at just 35.

She bravely faced stage 4 breast cancer for over five years, and her journey touched the hearts of many.

Nicky, known as Nicknacklou to her online community, was a beacon of positivity.

She encouraged everyone to embrace life and, importantly, to stay aware of breast health.

Ten days after deciding to stop her cancer treatment, Nicky left a touching message for her loved ones.

She didn't like the term 'battle'; instead, she reminded us that cancer eventually took its toll, and that's okay.

Her message urged us to cherish our dear ones, seize life's moments, and never take anything for granted.

Nicky called her followers her "Instagramily" and thanked them for being part of her journey.

Nicky's own cancer story began during fertility treatment, where she noticed changes in her breast and suffered severe back pain.

Sadly, within a week, she faced a miscarriage and received the devastating diagnosis of incurable metastatic breast cancer.

Throughout her journey, Nicky championed celebrating life and supported various businesses and charities.

She collaborated with Boho Betty on a jewelry collection, and the profits went to Future Dreams, a charity she held close to her heart.

Nicky inspired many people to get lightning bolt tattoos as a symbol of seizing life's opportunities and making the most of every day.

In her final year, Nicky experienced some wonderful moments. She witnessed her sister's wedding, traveled to beautiful places like Tenerife and Finland, and made a special trip to Disneyland, a place she adored.

Tributes have been pouring in from friends and supporters. Lauren Mahon, co-host of the You Me and the Big C podcast, fondly remembered Nicky as a "little lightning bolt" who lit up the lives of those around her.
