In response to a viral notification circulating on social media, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has clarified that the document proclaiming the closure of schools, colleges, and resorts in the federal capital is indeed fake.
The authorities categorically state that the said notification is not legitimate.
Reports had surfaced regarding the closure of key educational institutions, including Navy, Air and National Defense, and Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, purportedly due to security concerns. Additionally, various schools in the city were reported to have closed their doors in response to security apprehensions.

Sources reveal that a search operation conducted by the police and sensitive agencies in the outskirts of Islamabad, prompted by security concerns, led to a threat alert. Consequently, several private schools in the city opted to close temporarily due to security considerations.
Notably, no official notification from the Federal Directorate of Education was issued regarding the closure of government educational institutions.
Addressing the situation, IG Islamabad Akbar Nasir assured that the security and law and order in the city are well under control. He emphasized that the purpose of the alert is not to enforce the shutdown of institutions or activities, but rather to maintain heightened vigilance in the interest of public safety.
