Thomas Tuchel is set to remain England's head coach despite the team's heartbreaking FIFA World Cup semifinal defeat to Argentina, with the Football Association maintaining full confidence in the German manager.
England looked on course for the final after Anthony Gordon gave the Three Lions an early lead, but Argentina staged a dramatic comeback to secure a 2-1 victory through goals from Enzo Fernandez and Lautaro Martinez, whose stoppage-time winner sealed the South Americans' place in the final.
Following the defeat, Tuchel accepted full responsibility for the result but insisted he had no regrets over his tactical decisions.
The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich manager also reaffirmed his commitment to England, saying he remains focused on preparing the team for UEFA Euro 2028 after signing a contract extension earlier this year.
Ahead of England's third-place playoff against France, Tuchel reminded his players that they still have one match left to finish the tournament on a positive note.
He added that he is excited to continue building the squad as England prepare to host Euro 2028.
England will face France in the third-place playoff at Miami Stadium on Saturday, while Argentina will take on Spain in the FIFA World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.
