Gold prices increased for the second consecutive day in Pakistan on Thursday, tracking gains in the international market, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).
The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs400 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs425,436.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs343 to Rs364,742.
In the international market, the price of gold edged up by $4 per ounce to $4,030, contributing to the increase in local bullion rates.
Meanwhile, silver prices moved in the opposite direction.
The price of 24-karat silver declined by Rs134 per tola to Rs6,155, while the price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs115 to Rs5,276.
International silver prices also dropped by $1.34 per ounce to $56.76.
The local gold rates are based on interbank exchange rates and international market trends, as compiled by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
