Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) prime minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, along with his close associates, has joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) on Thursday.
IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan welcomed Tanveer Ilyas and his delegation into the party. Several political figures from Azad Jammu and Kashmir also became part of the IPP, including former prime minister’s adviser Sardar Iftikhar Rasheed.
Former AJK Health Minister Nisar Ansar Abdali also joined the party. Former AJK Agriculture Minister Chaudhry Ali Shan Soni likewise became part of the IPP.
The new entrants expressed full confidence in the leadership of Abdul Aleem Khan.
Earlier on Wednesday, a major political development has emerged in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), as candidates from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Kotli have announced their decision to join the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
According to details, Malik Zulfiqar Ali, contesting from LA-8, and Malik Muhammad Yousaf, contesting from LA-10, met IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan.
