Pakistan will host the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ministerial Conference on Women on July 12 and 13, with representatives from all 57 OIC member countries expected to participate.
The sixth meeting of the High-Level Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to review preparations for the conference.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, the meeting conducted a detailed review of the final arrangements for the two-day event.
The committee reviewed the conference agenda along with security, protocol and logistical arrangements.
Officials also discussed the media strategy and inter-ministerial coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the high-level gathering.
Delegates from 57 OIC member states to attend
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Ministerial Conference on Women will bring together representatives from all 57 OIC member countries.
The conference is expected to provide a platform for discussions on issues related to women among OIC member states.
Dar issues directions to institutions
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction with the preparations made by the Ministry of Human Rights.
He directed all relevant institutions to remain fully active, maintain close coordination and ensure that every arrangement is completed on time for the successful hosting of the conference.
The Foreign Office said the government is continuing its efforts to finalize all preparations ahead of the July 12-13 event.
