A popular bakery in Rawalpindi has temporarily shut down after a video went viral, showing a cockroach near the food.
The incident happened at Layers Bakery in Bahria Town Phase 7 on the evening of September 10, 2023.
Following a customer's complaint about the cockroach near the bakery's food display, Assistant Commissioner Qandeel Fatima Memon took swift action under the orders of Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi.
They sealed the bakery with the assist of officials from the Punjab Food Authority to make certain they follow food safety rules.
The bakery will stay closed until they thoroughly examine and clean it to make sure it's safe for food preparation.
