The price of gold in the global and local markets saw a big dip on Monday, after a massive hike in the previous session.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs3,200, bringing the new rate to Rs523,762, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs2,743, settling at Rs449,041. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs2,515 to be sold for Rs411,635.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by a huge $32, reaching $5,010 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs55 to Rs8,164, while 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs47 to be sold for Rs6,999.
