The Information Technology University (ITU), Lahore, held its 5th Convocation on Sunday at its Main Campus, Barki Road.
At the ceremony, 528 graduates were awarded degrees across 12 academic programs, including 367 BS, 147 MS, and 14 PhD scholars, while 14 outstanding students were conferred gold medals in recognition of their exceptional academic performance. The ceremony was graced by Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal as the chief guest.
In his address, the minister emphasized that ITU was established as a vision of the prime minister when he was serving as the chief minister of Punjab with the objective of building a modern and Digital Pakistan driven by innovation and technology.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Adnan Noor Mian presented the university’s progress report. He also shared details of the launch of new academic programs, including BS Financial Technology, MS Management and Technology, and MS Cyber Security. He outlined the university’s growing international research recognition, faculty achievements, and continued infrastructure expansion.
