Aleema Khan confirmed on Saturday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder (PTI) Imran Khan was allowed to speak to his sons for 20 minutes.
The deposed prime minister's sister, Aleema Khan, confirmed the development in a message posted on X. She said Imran Khan was very happy after hearing the voices of his children.
Aleema said that they were now waiting for immediate treatment at Shifa International Hospital under the supervision of his personal doctors.
She said specialist doctors must make every possible effort to restore his eyesight. "Deliberate delay in the provision of treatment had already caused damage to his vision," Aleema Khan asserted.
She added that any further delay in his treatment would neither be tolerated nor accepted.
Aleema Khan maintained that immediate specialist care was essential to prevent permanent loss of eyesight.
