Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has urged the centre to grant provinces the wider powers.
Addressing a gathering after the new block inaugurated at the Jinnah Hospital, Bhutto-Zardari maintained: “Some of the ministers want to see the withdrawal of the powers from the provinces. We also understand the difficulties faced by the federal government.”
Bhutto-Zardari said: “The provinces have received more sales tax on services as compared to that of the centre.”
“The Sindh government has proved to be more capable than the centre in terms of running the institutions in a better way,” said Bhutto-Zardari.
“Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have collected more tax than the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR),” averred Bhutto-Zardari.
