The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that temperatures in October will remain above normal.
According to details surfaced on Wedensday, temperatures in the eastern areas of Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to stay high, while the western parts of Balochistan may experience below-normal temperatures.
The PMD said that higher temperatures in upper regions may lead to the formation of frost. Rain and wind in some areas may damage the Kharif crop.
The department has also warned that warm weather will support the growth of dengue larvae. The end of the monsoon season is expected to reduce river flow.
As a result, water availability for agriculture may decrease. Smog is likely to affect the plains of the country, and worsening air quality may cause health problems.
Excessive heat may also lead to a shortage of fodder for livestock.
