Gold and silver prices in Pakistan hit record levels on Tuesday, 9th September 2025.
24-carat gold and silver saw significant increases, setting new historic highs in the local market.
Gold prices reach historic levels
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold per tola surged by Rs 4,100 to reach Rs 388,100. Ten grams of 24-carat gold also saw an increase of Rs 3,514, now priced at Rs 332,733.
Ten grams of 22-carat gold rose by Rs 3,222 to Rs 305,016, marking a steady climb in domestic gold rates.
International market influence
The rise in local gold prices coincides with an increase in international gold rates. One ounce of gold in the global market became $41 more expensive, now trading at $3,654.
Experts say international trends directly impact Pakistan’s interbank gold rates, which are closely monitored by traders and investors.
Silver prices also hit new high
Silver prices also recorded historic highs. The rate of 24-carat silver per tola increased by Rs 20 to Rs 4,358.
Ten grams of 24-carat silver rose by Rs 17, reaching Rs 3,736. International silver prices also saw a slight uptick, rising by $0.20 to $41.25 per ounce.
