Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has attended the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF) in Istanbul during his official visit to Turkiye.
During the visit, Gen Mirza held separate meetings with senior military officials of Turkey and Azerbaijan, including Turkish Defence Minister Gen (Retd) Yasar Guler, Chief of Turkish General Staff General Metin Gürak, Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Deputy Defence Minister Gurbanov Ağl Salim Oğlu.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meetings addressed a range of subjects including bilateral military cooperation, defence, security, counter-terrorism and the regional strategic environment.
ISPR stated that the participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthen the strategic partnership in light of evolving geo-strategic dynamics and technological advancements.
The officials also underlined the significance of enhancing mutual defence collaboration and expressed determination to further promote military ties between the countries.
