United States Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth reiterated that the US has destroyed Iran’s nuclear capability through bombardment.
Expressing his thoughts, Hegseth said the recent report on the attacks was merely a preliminary assessment. "We believe the actual damage was far more severe than reported," he added.
Following the leak of the report, an investigation has been launched in cooperation with the FBI, Hegseth stated.
"CNN and other outlets have exaggerated it. This was done to downplay President Trump’s remarkable success. We have achieved a remarkable victory. We have witnessed the complete destruction of nuclear facilities, he added.
"The New York Times is in decline, which is why I call it the ‘Failing New York Times," Hegseth maintained.
Hegseth added, "Our missiles hit every target with precision; the mission was successful."
He said: "The impact of those bombs is now buried under mountains of rubble in Iran. Anyone claiming these bombs were not destructive is undermining our mission."
