Maulana Yousaf Jamil has disclosed distressing details surrounding the untimely demise of his youngest brother, Asim Jamil.
Yousaf, in a video message, provided insights into the painful journey of his younger brother.
Asim's battle with depression was no secret, and his family had been actively supporting him in his fight against the debilitating condition, he said.
Yousaf went on to say that in a bid to put an end to his suffering, Asim Jamil reportedly took a drastic step, using a firearm obtained from a security guard.
Maulana Yousaf Jamil, in his message, vehemently refuted any speculation of enmity being the underlying cause of this tragic incident.
Meanwhile, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the Multan RPO.
IGP Anwar said the conclusive cause of the death should be “determined in the light of evidence and forensic report”.
