Prof. Dr. Lubna Zaheer, Chairperson of Punjab University's Film and Broadcasting Department, recently participated in an international conference hosted by Azerbaijan University in Baku, where she presented her research on Pakistan's media landscape and chaired an academic session.
Dr. Zaheer, speaking at the closing ceremony thanked the government and people of Azerbaijan for their consistent and unconditional support to Pakistan during the recent India-Pakistan conflict.
She conveyed these sentiments on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan.
Azerbaijan University Rector expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s longstanding support to Azerbaijan, particularly on the Armenia issue.
In a meeting held between Dr. Zaheer and the Rector, both consented to formalize their collaboration through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in the near future between the University of the Punjab and Azerbaijan University to strengthen academic cooperation.
Dr. Lubna Zaheer was also invited to the Pakistan Cultural Centre at Azerbaijan Diller University, where she interacted with students and faculty members.
On behalf of the University of the Punjab and the Department of Film and Broadcasting, she invited them to visit Pakistan and explore opportunities for academic and cultural exchange.
