Mortal Kombat 1's latest DLC fighter, Omni-Man, has been revealed in a new gameplay showcase, and he appears to be a formidable addition to the roster.

Mortal Kombat 1 has been widely praised as one of the best fighting games of the year, offering a thrilling and gory experience for players. Although it's essential to note that the experience may vary on the Nintendo Switch.

The game is "brutally violent yet immensely satisfying", highlighting its stunning graphics, familiar gameplay, and innovative take on beloved characters.

The game includes classic fighters like Raiden, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and more, but it also introduces new faces, particularly the upcoming DLC characters.

Among these, the first otherworldly contender is Omni-Man, the antagonist from the Invincible series, who has received a positive response from fans following his initial gameplay reveal.

NetherRealm, the game's developer, shared the gameplay preview on Mortal Kombat's official Twitter account, teasing, "The realms will tremble under the weight of the Viltrum Empire," followed by over a minute of Omni-Man's brutal combat.

Omni-Man's moves appear to be inspired by his portrayal in the Amazon Prime Video show, and his fatalities are particularly gruesome.

One move mirrors a scene from the show where Omni-Man holds his opponent in front of a moving train, just as he did to his son Mark (Invincible) in the first season's finale.

Omni-Man's design is impressive, and fans will be delighted to know that his voice actor, J.K. Simmons, will reprise his role, promising intriguing interactions between Omni-Man and other in-game characters.

The first wave of DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 is expected to launch in November, available on Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and even the Nintendo Switch.
