Relatives of martyrs expressed their feelings on the occasion of Eid al-Azha, sharing memories and sentiments about their loved ones who sacrificed their lives for the country.
The daughter of Havaldar Kashif Zia Shaheed reminisced, "When my father used to come on Eid, he would bring clothes, bangles, and henna for all three siblings." She noted that eight Eids have passed since his martyrdom, but the family still misses him greatly.
Havaldar Kashif Zia Shaheed's widow mentioned, "My husband was a very good person, and we miss him a lot, especially on the occasion of Eid." She added that his sacrifice while fighting terrorists is a source of pride for the family.
The father of Sepoy Muhammad Safdar Shaheed shared that his son died for the country and earned the rank of martyr. "Thanks to the sacrifices of these martyrs, we are living in peace in our homes," he stated.
He also recalled the last time his son came for Eid, noting that he turned around three times before leaving and kissed his two-year-old daughter on the forehead. He expressed a prayer for his son, saying, "May Allah grant my son a high place in Paradise, Ameen."
The son of Havaldar Waheed Ahmad Shaheed mentioned that he was seven years old when his father was martyred, and they miss him a lot on Eid. Havaldar Waheed Ahmed Shaheed's widow also expressed her feelings, stating, "I miss my husband a lot on the occasion of Eid."
