The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has tasked civil intelligence agencies with gathering information about its employees.
This is among the significant steps the board has taken towards evaluating the performance of its employees and preparing reports regarding each worker. It comes as part of efforts to enhance transparency and accountability within the organization.
Sources reveal that the intelligence agency has commenced the process of gathering information from the offices and relatives of FBR employees. The focus of this data collection revolves around employees in Grade 19, 20, and 21, with a particular emphasis on assessing their financial integrity and professional performance.
The sources said that once the information is obtained, employees will be categorized into three groups: A, B, and C. Those falling into categories A and B are likely to be posted based on the reports generated from the collected data.
However, individuals classified under category C may not be entrusted with important responsibilities and could potentially face dismissal.
The sources said that future promotions within the FBR will also be influenced by the insights provided by these performance reports.
