Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif on Friday paid homage to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly lawmaker Sobia Shahid for showing bravery.
Sobia called on Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. On this occasion, Shehbaz Sharif condemned the “rude” attitude towards Sobia.
“Those who show disrespectful attitudes towards women should be brought to justice. It is up to the KP speaker to take action against those responsible for incident."
Shehbaz Sharif had asked the KP speaker to show no leniency towards those who were showing disrespectful attitudes towards.
“Those who have blackmailed Sobia Shahid have insulted the Pashtun culture,” he added.
He maintained: “The PTI leaders do not know how to respect.”
The PML-N president vowed to empower women.
Meanwhile, Sobia expressed her gratitude to Shehbaz Sharif for extending her support.

Separately, Shehbaz Sharif had felicitated Ayaz Sadiq on becoming the National Assembly speaker.
Expressing his thoughts, Shehbaz said: “Ayaz Sadiq is an experienced and capable politician. Ayaz Sadiq has set a unique example by electing the speaker for the third time.”
“We will play an active role in fostering the country’s democracy,” he added.
