Amidst the ongoing delay in Pakistan’s election results, Barrister Gohar, representing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed confidence in winning 150 seats in the recent elections, highlighting the peaceful conduct of the electoral process and the substantial voter turnout.
This comes despite the official results remaining unavailable, fueling speculation and anxiety.
He emphasized the peaceful nature of the elections and the high voter turnout, commending the democratic process. However, he expressed concern over the delay in announcing results, citing the Election Act’s mandate for Returning Officers (ROs) to do so by 2 pm.
He urged calm among PTI candidates and workers, advising them to remain at polling stations until they receive Form 47, the official result declaration document. His hope for a swift issuance of Form 47 further highlights the tension surrounding the delayed results.
Expressing hope in receiving Form 47 promptly, the PTI leader reiterated his belief that KP would play a pivotal role in forming the government at the federal level.
