Private sector investors are warmly invited to explore a promising investment prospect in the Al Nahda region, the Wilayat of Al Amerat, Muscat Governorate in Oman.
Encompassing 500 fedans (2.1 million square metres), this endeavour, led by the National Employment Programme (NEP) in collaboration with governmental bodies and private sector associates, is aimed at initiating treated water projects.
Aligned with the NEP's commitment to strengthening collaborations with the private sector, augmenting agricultural productivity, and enhancing food security, the initiative utilises tertiary-treated water sourced from the Al-Amerat wastewater treatment plant. Its goals include promoting sustainable agriculture, driving technological innovation, and generating employment opportunities, all while cultivating self-sufficiency.
Private institutions are encouraged to partake in this venture, where they will be presented with a comprehensive vision for designing, managing, implementing, operating, and marketing the project. Emphasising social, environmental, educational, and economic factors, the initiative pledges a holistic approach to harnessing treated water for agricultural production and wildlife development in the region.
