Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stressed on Tuesday the need for facilitating the investors and industrialists, during a review meeting on reform measures for the National Tarrif Commission’s (NTC) performance.
According to details, the premier said that the institutional reorganisation of the NTC is essential for growth in investment.PM Shehbaz chaired a review meeting on reform measures for the NTC’s performance. The prime minister instructed that the NTC’s legal and administrative issues be resolved under a comprehensive strategy.
The premier said: "All activities of the NTC should be fully digitalised to ensure transparency and quality. The NTC must facilitate investors and industrialists."
Special measures should be taken to protect against legal and other complexities, he said.
To align the institution’s performance with international standards, global best practices should be studied, the Prime Minister directed.
Innovation should be introduced in the commission through the use of information technology, artificial intelligence, and other modern methods, he maintained.
