The federal government has announced that there will be no load shedding of electricity and gas during Sehri and Iftar across the country during Ramazan.
The assurance was given during a joint press conference by Federal Minister for Energy Owais Leghari and Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik, who outlined special arrangements to facilitate fasting citizens.
Speaking at the press conference in Islamabad, Leghari said that uninterrupted electricity supply during Sehri and Iftar is the government’s top priority. He announced that there will be no electricity load shedding anywhere, including feeders with major losses.

To ensure smooth operations, a control room has been set up at the Power Information Technology Company (PITC) to monitor all electricity feeders across the country.
“The system for monitoring all electricity feeders nationwide is active,” the energy minister said, adding that the government will ensure uninterrupted supply throughout the holy month.
Helpline active for complaints
Owais Leghari confirmed that a helpline is fully operational and that complaints regarding power outages will be resolved immediately.
The federal ministers also shared complaint numbers for electricity and gas consumers, urging people to report any issues related to load shedding or low pressure during Sehri and Iftar without delay. They assured the public that every complaint would be addressed promptly.
No gas loadshedding from 3am to 10:30pm
Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik announced that there will be no gas load shedding from 3am to 10:30pm during Ramazan. He said that arrangements have been completed to maintain adequate gas pressure during Sehri and Iftar timings.

Monitoring will be conducted at the head offices and zonal offices of both gas companies to ensure smooth supply.
Ramazan relief a govt priority
Ali Pervaiz Malik emphasized that providing convenience to fasting individuals is the government’s priority.
“Efforts are being made to create facilities for people during Ramazan,” he said, urging consumers to immediately file complaints in case of any problems with gas supply or pressure.
With enhanced monitoring systems, dedicated control rooms, and active helplines, the government says it is fully prepared to ensure uninterrupted electricity and gas supply during the key hours of Sehri and Iftar.
