Weather system intensifying
According to the Meteorological Department, a rain system has begun developing over Karachi.
A strong rain stream has formed about 100 kilometers southwest of the city. Radar images show clouds moving toward Karachi that are likely to bring more showers to various neighborhoods.
The Met Department has warned that rain intensity may increase in the next few hours.
Risk of water accumulation
With heavy rain continuing in several localities, authorities fear water accumulation in low-lying areas. The Meteorological Department has urged citizens to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of intense rainfall.
While the showers have provided relief from warm conditions and made the weather pleasant, officials are closely monitoring the situation as the rain-bearing system strengthens.
