The government has increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for the next fortnight with effect from February 16, Monday.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been raised by Rs5 per litre. The new price of petrol stood at Rs258.17 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs7.32 per litre. The new price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs275.70 per litre.
Earlier this month, the government had announced changes to the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight starting from February 1 (Sunday).
The Petroleum Division has issued a notification for prices applicable for the next 15 days. According to the notification, the price of petrol has been kept unchanged at Rs253.17 per litre.
