The Sui Southern Gas Company has announced a 48-hour suspension of gas supply to industries and the CNG sector as part of its operational schedule, while routine load management for domestic users will continue as usual.
According to a spokesperson for SSGC, gas supply to all industrial consumers and CNG stations will remain suspended for 48 hours.
The shutdown will begin at 8am on Saturday, January 31, and will continue until 8am on Monday, February 2.
Domestic, commercial supply
SSGC clarified that domestic and commercial consumers will not be affected by the 48-hour shutdown. However, gas supply to these consumers will continue to remain suspended daily from 10pm to 5am under the existing gas load management plan.
Consumers have been advised to plan their usage accordingly during the restricted hours.
The SSGC spokesperson said domestic consumers can register complaints or seek assistance through the company’s 24-hour operational helpline. The helpline, 1199, will remain available throughout the shutdown period to address consumer concerns.
Advisory for affected sectors
Industries and CNG station operators have been advised to make necessary arrangements in advance to minimize disruption during the suspension period.
SSGC said the shutdown is part of its operational requirements and urged consumers to cooperate for smooth system management.
