On the sidelines of 26th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the SOCAR expressed interest in investment during a meeting with Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb.
Adviser to the finance minister, Khurram Shehzad said that the SOCAR’s involvement would strengthen cooperation in LNG, petroleum supply and the wider energy sector. He said SOCAR is Azerbaijan’s largest company, with assets valued at $57 billion.
Officials said the development is expected to raise global investor confidence in Pakistan’s energy sector and to support energy security and economic growth.
