US Charge d’Affaires Natalie Baker and the Sialkot business community have expressed a strong resolve to further strengthen bilateral trade and investment between Pakistan and the United States.
According to details that emerged on Tuesday, during her visit to Sialkot, Natalie Baker held meetings with leading members of the local business community and addressed the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). She said that trade relations between Pakistan and the United States have been steadily improving and expressed optimism that bilateral trade could exceed $8 billion.
The US envoy emphasised that the United States supports fair and balanced trade, which can create new opportunities for shared prosperity for both countries. She encouraged greater collaboration in trade, investment, and innovation, particularly in export-oriented sectors.
As part of her visit, Natalie Baker toured prominent industrial units including Forward Sports, FAC and CA Sports, where she reviewed production processes and discussed export potential. She also visited Sialkot International Airport, highlighting its importance in facilitating trade and logistics.
Members of the Sialkot business community welcomed the US envoy and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding trade ties, enhancing investment cooperation, and exploring new avenues for economic partnership between Pakistan and the United States.
