Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has directed authorities to ensure transparency and efficiency in document verification and apostille services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

A high-level meeting on consular services was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar.

Senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the meeting to review existing procedures and discuss measures to improve public service delivery.

Addressing the meeting, Ishaq Dar stressed that timely facilities must be provided to the public at affordable costs.

He underlined that consular services directly affect citizens, particularly those seeking document verification for education, employment, or overseas travel.

Transparency called core of MOFA’s mission

The deputy prime minister said that a transparent, effective, and reliable document verification system is the cornerstone of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ mission.

He directed officials to eliminate delays and inefficiencies to build public trust in consular processes.

Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed their commitment to improving service delivery for the public.

The meeting agreed to make the consular services system more effective, user-friendly, and responsive to citizens’ needs.
