Two police officers were martyred and four militants shot dead during an attack on a police post in Kurram district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Officials said that armed militants attacked the Chanarik police post in central Kurram. Police returned fire, killing four militants and injuring six.

Separately, a joint operation by the Bannu Police and the Hathikhel clan resulted in the killing of three terrorists on Saturday after an intense gun battle in the Tarkhe-Oba area of Ahmed Zai police station limits.
Several other terrorists were injured during the confrontation, officials confirmed.
