The Government of Balochistan on Wednesday declared a public holiday for Hindu government employees from October 31 to November 2, coinciding with the Diwali festival.
The announcement comes as part of the government's commitment to promote religious harmony and inclusivity within the province.
A statement released by the provincial government highlighted the importance of Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, which is celebrated by Hindus around the world.
In addition to the holiday, the government has also ensured that salaries for Hindu employees were released on October 24, allowing them to celebrate this auspicious occasion with their families and communities.
