The Singapore Army on Tuesday safely detonated a 100-kilogram World War II-era bomb found at a construction site.
More than 4,000 people were evacuated from nearby homes.
The bomb was too dangerous to move, so the army destroyed it on-site.
Over 40 soldiers used sandbags and concrete blocks to protect the area from the blast.
The detonation was the largest-ever exercise involving a World War II relic in Singapore.
After the blast, buildings and roads were deemed safe and residents were allowed to return home.
The bomb likely contained around 47 kilograms of explosives, which would have been strong enough to destroy the nearby flat block.
