The Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) on Wednesday constituted the lawyers’ wing.
The members of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Islamabad High Court Bar Association joined the IPP.
IPP Islamabad president Chaudhry Abdul Rauf had welcomed the lawyers by presenting them with party mufflers.
Abdul Wahid Qureshi had been appointed as the IPP lawyers’ wing president, and Iftikhar Bashir had been named as the IPP lawyers’ wing senior vice president.
On this occasion, Rauf expressed optimism that the IPP will be strengthened with the joining of the lawyers.
''It is the vision of IPP President Abdul Aleem Khan to lead the country towards prosperity,'' Rauf said.
He lavished his praise on Abdul Aleem Khan and IPP patron-in-chief Jahangir Khan Tareen. ‘’Abdul Aleem Khan and Jahangir Khan Tareen are the most sincere politicians in the country.’’
