Meghan Markle has reportedly found herself at the centre of fresh speculation about her marriage to Prince Harry after appearing at a showbiz event in Los Angeles without her wedding ring.
The Duchess of Sussex was spotted without her ring during a recent public appearance, prompting speculation on social media about the state of her relationship with Harry.
According to an unnamed source cited by Heat, Meghan would have been aware that the absence of her ring could attract attention given the ongoing public interest in her marriage.
“There’s no way Meghan wouldn’t have known that stepping out without her wedding ring would create a storm of speculation,” the source claimed.
The insider added that there has been a “never-ending obsession” with predicting problems in Harry and Meghan’s marriage, suggesting that the latest appearance had once again fuelled those discussions.
Harry reportedly wants closer ties with UK
The latest speculation comes amid reports that Harry may be interested in finding a way to spend more time in the UK.
According to the source, Harry would like to reach a compromise that could allow him to return to Britain more frequently and potentially resume some form of part-time royal role.
The source claimed Harry would also like Meghan to join him.
However, Meghan is reportedly opposed to moving back to England, even on a part-time basis.
“LA is her home,” the source said, claiming Meghan remains uncomfortable with the prospect of returning to the UK because of the hostility she believes she would face there.
The claims about the couple’s future and Meghan’s reaction to Harry’s reported ambitions have not been independently confirmed.
The couple stepped back as senior working members of the British royal family in 2020 and later relocated to the United States.
