Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar emphasised on Thursday the importance of diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions during the telephone calls with his Turkish and Jordanian counterparts.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar spoke with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, during which both leaders discussed recent developments in the region.
Dar stressed the need for diplomacy to de-escalate tensions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability. Both sides agreed to remain in close contact.
In a separate call, Dar also spoke with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and underscored the importance of reducing tensions.

Separately, Dar has confirmed that indirect communication between the United States and Iran is ongoing through Pakistan, as diplomatic efforts intensify to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
In a post on social media, Dar said “unnecessary speculations” were circulating regarding the Middle East conflict and possible peace talks.
Dar reiterated support for ongoing efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination in view of the changing circumstances.
