Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a key meeting to discuss the evolving regional situation, domestic politics, and development priorities.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s House, Bilawal met Prime Minister Sharif along with a delegation. The PM briefed the PPP chairman on the ongoing situation in the Gulf and Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting global peace.
The meeting comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, making diplomatic coordination increasingly important.
The two leaders also discussed political and domestic issues of mutual interest during the meeting. Bilawal praised the government’s policy in addressing the challenges facing Pakistan, appreciating its direction in difficult circumstances.
He acknowledged the government’s efforts in managing both internal and external pressures.
Sindh development projects
A key part of the discussion focused on ongoing federal development projects in Sindh. Both leaders reviewed progress on these initiatives, reflecting the importance of development cooperation between the federal government and the province.
According to sources, the PPP delegation raised the issue of reviewing the National Finance Commission (NFC) award.
In response, Prime Minister Sharif assured that consultations would be held on the matter, indicating openness to dialogue on fiscal arrangements.

The meeting was attended by several senior government and party officials. Participants included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
Federal ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Muhammad Aurangzeb, and Azam Nazir Tarar were also present, along with Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah and PPP Senator Saleem Mandviwala.
Strengthening political coordination
The meeting reflects efforts to strengthen political coordination and maintain unity in addressing both domestic and regional challenges.
With discussions spanning diplomacy, development, and economic matters, both sides signaled a willingness to work together on key national issues.
