Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will underline the full implementation of the United Nations Security Council resolution and highlight the importance of reconstruction in Gaza.
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, he will emphasise the need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza during the Security Council meeting on the situation in Palestine. Dar will also speak on Israel’s recent unlawful actions and the issue of control over the West Bank.
He will reaffirm Pakistan’s principled and consistent position on Palestine. The British foreign secretary will preside over the meeting in her capacity as President of the Security Council.
Dar will attend the Security Council session on Palestine during his visit to New York.
The deputy prime Minister and foreign minister is set to depart for New York tomorrow on an official visit to the United States.
