Rain, snowfall in northern regions
While Lahore enjoys clear weather, PDMA Punjab has predicted rain in the northern areas and snowfall in mountainous regions. The authority warned that due to rain and snowfall, the intensity of cold in upper areas is likely to increase, advising residents and travelers to remain cautious.
Precautions for Basant
PDMA Punjab has directed citizens to take precautionary measures, particularly during kite-flying activities. People have been advised to exercise special care around electric wires and rooftops to prevent accidents.
The disaster management authority strongly warned against the use of metal wires, chemical-coated strings, and illegal equipment. PDMA Punjab emphasized that such materials pose serious risks to public safety and must be completely avoided.
Advisory for motorcyclists
Motorcyclists have been urged to ensure the use of protective helmets and neck protectors during Basant. The advisory aims to reduce the risk of serious injuries, especially amid increased traffic and kite-flying hazards.
