Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Wednesday that Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan carried out the attack in Balochistan, adding that the eastern neighbour and the Khawarij want to obstruct Pakistan’s development, but all such conspiracies will fail.
Speaking during a cabinet meeting, the prime minister said that the attack in Balochistan by Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan resulted in the martyrdom of 17 soldiers, while terrorists killed 31 civilians. He said that 180 terrorists were eliminated.

The prime minister said that the terrorists also killed women and children, but Pakistan’s brave forces gave a strong and decisive response to the attackers. He said that the welfare of the children of martyrs is the responsibility of the state and that the nation will always remember its brave sons. He added that the entire nation stands united with the security agencies and the armed forces of Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan inflicted a humiliating defeat on the enemy in 'Marka-e-Haq'. "After this battle, the eastern neighbour and the Khawarij want to become an obstacle in the path of development and prosperity, but this will not be allowed," the premier said.
He said terrorism will be completely eradicated and Pakistan will continue on the path of progress. The prime minister said that Pakistan played its full brotherly role regarding tensions in the Middle East.
PM Shehbaz said that he, the deputy prime minister and the Field Marshal held talks with the Iranian leadership, while Qatar, Turkiye, Egypt, Oman and Saudi Arabia are making efforts to find a way forward through dialogue, so that the threats looming over the region can be removed.
Shehbaz Sharif said that on February 5, Kashmir Solidarity Day, Pakistan will express its unwavering support for the Kashmiri people. He said that he will visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) with colleagues to deliver a strong message of solidarity.
The prime minister said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi had visited him the day before yesterday and that their discussion was constructive. He said that he had called the chief minister on election day.
PM Shehbaz said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was given Rs800 billion through the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, adding that any delay in payments was immediately assigned to Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
He added that he also held a positive meeting with Sohail Afridi and expressed hope that progress would follow.
