Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has decided to take President Asif Ali Zardari into confidence regarding negotiations with National Assembly Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
According to details that emerged on Wednesday, a meeting between the prime minister and the president could not take place due to President Zardari’s prior engagements in Karachi. The meeting was also delayed owing to the visit of the Kazakhstan president to Pakistan.
The meeting between PM Shehbaz and Mahmood Khan Achakzai will take place at the Parliament House. The prime minister will meet the opposition leadership during the ongoing session of the National Assembly.
Earlier on Tuesday, Achakzai wrote a letter to PM Shehbaz, raising concerns about the health of PTI founder Imran Khan.
In the letter addressed to the prime minister, Achakzai has expressed concern over the absence of family members and personal doctors during the medical examination of Imran Khan. Achakzai also demanded a full medical examination by the personal doctors.
