Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has criticised the performance of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, saying no serious thought is being given to the province’s development.
Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Youth Assembly in Islamabad, Tarar said policy based on rhetoric was gaining ground, while practical work was being ignored. He said delivering results was the hardest task, while criticism remained the easiest option.
The information minister questioned what the PTI government had provided to the youth, stating that the PML-N government had delivered laptops without any condition of political affiliation, colour or ethnicity.
He said critics should present a better programme than the current laptop scheme before raising objections. Tarar added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the country’s most beautiful province and should not be left behind in development due to an obsession with political narratives.
