The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed officers seeking promotion in the Pakistan Customs Service to declare their assets and submit performance evaluation reports as part of the promotion process.
In an official letter, the FBR informed officers that asset declarations are mandatory for those aspiring to promotion. The directive applies to officers in grades 17 and 18 who fall within the promotion zone of the Pakistan Customs Service.
The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and merit ahead of upcoming promotions.
Performance evaluation reports
Along with asset declarations, the FBR has sought complete performance evaluation reports from the concerned officers. These reports will be reviewed as part of the overall assessment process.
Officials said both documents are essential for consideration at the next stage.
The FBR confirmed that a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) will be convened shortly to consider promotions to the next grade. Officers have been instructed to ensure all required documents are submitted before the meeting takes place.
Failure to comply could affect eligibility for promotion.
Deadlines for submissions
According to the letter, officers must submit details of their assets and performance reports covering the period up to June 30, 2025. The FBR has set January 16 as the deadline for submitting the required information.
The board emphasized strict compliance to avoid delays in the promotion process.
